The company reported operating income of ₹291 crore in Q1 FY27, up 81% from ₹161 crore in the year-ago quarter. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) rose 89% year-on-year to ₹261 crore, while the operating EBITDA margin expanded to around 90% from 86% a year ago.
On a consolidated basis, total income rose 79% year-on-year to ₹324 crore, while EBITDA increased 86% to ₹294 crore. EBITDA margin expanded by 300 basis points to 91%. Profit after tax (PAT) rose 54% to ₹33 crore, while cash PAT increased 50% to ₹108 crore.

Juniper Green Energy commissioned its highest-ever quarterly renewable energy capacity of 601 MWp in Q1 FY27. This included 458 MWp of solar and 143 MW of wind capacity. It also commissioned around 403 MWh of battery energy storage system (BESS) capacity during the quarter.
The company’s operational renewable energy capacity stood at 2,409 MWp as of June 30, with another 167 MW of wind capacity commissioned after the quarter-end, taking operational capacity to 2,575 MWp as of date. Cumulative operational BESS capacity has risen to 503 MWh.
Generation increased 72% year-on-year to 944 million units in Q1 FY27, while capacity utilisation factor (CUF) improved to 30.2% from 28.2% in the corresponding quarter last year.
Juniper Green Energy said it has secured two new tenders and signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) after June 30.
The company signed a 25-year PPA with SJVN Limited on August 26 for a 50 MW Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project at a tariff of ₹4.25 per kWh.
It also received a Letter of Award for an SECI FDRE Round-the-Clock tender, involving 870 MWp of planned capacity and 2,200 MWh of BESS against contracted capacity of 230 MW, at a tariff of ₹5.26 per kWh. In addition, it won a 50 MW GUVNL wind project at a tariff of ₹3.51 per kWh.
The company’s total portfolio stood at 11,216 MWp along with 8,989 MWh of BESS capacity as of the latest update. Around 98% of the portfolio is backed by offtakers rated ‘A’ or above, while 98% is secured through long-term PPAs, typically for 25 years.
Juniper Green Energy incurred ₹1,183 crore of capex in Q1 FY27, taking cumulative capex to ₹16,303 crore as of June 30.
Net debt stood at ₹11,217 crore, of which ₹7,183 crore was attributable to the operational portfolio. The company said it refinanced more than ₹1,700 crore at a weighted average interest rate of below 8% during the current fiscal, while the weighted average cost of debt for its operational portfolio stood at 8.58%.
Following its ₹1,800-crore IPO in August, Juniper Green Energy said its net worth has increased to around ₹5,200 crore.
Juniper Green Energy made its stock market debut on August 6, listing at ₹245 on the NSE, an 8.9% premium to its IPO price of ₹225. The ₹1,800-crore IPO was subscribed 7.97 times.
Shares of the company fell as much as 5% on Thursday to an intraday low of ₹254.20 and were trading at ₹256.10 as of 11.06 am, still down 4.24%. At the current levels, the stock stands about 4.5% above its listing price.
