Advances increased by ₹18,370.43 crore from ₹73,644.15 crore a year earlier. On a quarterly basis, they rose 6.24% from ₹86,610.21 crore at the end of June.
Deposits stood at ₹1,15,138.05 crore, up ₹12,320.86 crore from ₹1,02,817.19 crore a year earlier. They increased 4.30% from ₹1,10,396.41 crore in the June quarter.
The faster growth in advances compared with deposits was visible on both a yearly and quarterly basis.
CASA deposits rise
The bank’s current account and savings account (CASA) deposits increased 14.88% YoY to ₹36,626.38 crore from ₹31,881.95 crore.
CASA deposits also grew 2.34% from ₹35,787.30 crore in the June quarter.
CASA’s share of total deposits improved to 31.81% from 31.01% a year earlier, an increase of 80 basis points.
However, the ratio declined from 32.42% at the end of June, a fall of 61 basis points.
Karnataka Bank said the business figures are provisional and subject to a limited review by its statutory auditors. The bank will publish its financial statements and the limited review report in due course.
Karnataka Bank shares closed at ₹323.90 on the NSE on Thursday, down ₹5.10, or 1.55%.
