The overnight MCLR has been increased to 9% from 8.85%, while the one-month rate has also been raised to 9% from 8.75%.
The three-month MCLR has been increased to 9.15% from 8.95%, while the six-month rate has risen to 9.30% from 9.15%. The one-year MCLR has been raised slightly to 9.40% from 9.35%.
In percentage-point terms, the three-month rate has seen the biggest increase of 20 basis points. The overnight, one-month and six-month rates have been raised by 15 basis points each, while the one-year rate has increased by 5 basis points.
MCLR is a benchmark that banks use to determine interest rates on certain loans. An increase in MCLR can make loans linked to the benchmark more expensive, depending on the terms of the loan and when its interest rate is due for a reset.
The bank informed the NSE and BSE about the revised rates through a regulatory filing dated August 20.
Shares of Karur Vysya Bank closed 1.01% higher at ₹334.40 on the NSE on August 20, gaining ₹3.35 from the previous close.
