KEC International has secured new orders worth ₹1,006 crore across its transmission and distribution (T&D), civil construction and cables and conductors businesses, the engineering and construction company said in an exchange filing.
The orders include a 400-kilovolt (kV) transmission line in Oman, the supply of towers, hardware and poles in the Americas, and a repeat order to build a multispeciality hospital for a healthcare company in eastern India.
The RPG Group company also secured orders in India and overseas markets for its cables and conductors business.
KEC International’s order wins
Vimal Kejriwal, managing director and chief executive of KEC International, said the Oman contract would diversify the company’s order book in West Asia and reflected continued investment in the region’s power transmission infrastructure.
The company said the hospital construction contract would strengthen its civil business in the healthcare segment.
The latest wins take KEC International’s year-to-date order intake to ₹10,600 crore, Kejriwal said.
Earlier this month, on October 10, the company announced orders worth ₹1,014 crore for its domestic T&D business. These included a 765-kV transmission line to carry electricity from a pumped-storage project in western India.
