The Kisan Credit Card (KCC) scheme was introduced to help farmers access timely and affordable formal credit for their agricultural needs. While the scheme was initially focused on meeting seasonal crop expenses, it has expanded over the years to include allied activities such as dairy farming, poultry, fisheries, animal husbandry and beekeeping.
