Lemon Tree Hotels adds 145 rooms in Bodhgaya with two new properties


Lemon Tree Hotels has signed licence agreements for two properties in Bodhgaya, Bihar, adding 145 rooms to its portfolio in the state.

The properties are Lemon Tree Hotel, Bodhgaya, with 75 rooms, and Keys Select by Lemon Tree Hotels, Bodhgaya, with 70 rooms. Both hotels will be managed by Carnation Hotels, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lemon Tree Hotels.

The company currently operates two hotels in Bihar and has three properties in its development pipeline, including the two Bodhgaya properties.

 

Two hotels target different traveller segments

Lemon Tree Hotel, Bodhgaya will have a restaurant, banquet hall, meeting and conference facilities, swimming pool and fitness centre. The property is around 10 km from Bodhgaya Airport and 14 km from Gaya Railway Station.

Keys Select by Lemon Tree Hotels, Bodhgaya will also have a restaurant, banquet hall, meeting and conference facilities, swimming pool and fitness centre. It is around 11 km from Bodhgaya Airport and 15 km from Gaya Railway Station.

The company said the properties will serve visitors travelling to Bodhgaya for pilgrimage, leisure and business.

Bodhgaya is a Buddhist pilgrimage centre and attracts visitors from India and overseas, according to the company.

Gurugram hotel exits Lemon Tree portfolio

Separately, Lemon Tree Hotels said Lemon Tree Premier, Leisure Valley 2, Gurugram, an 80-room hotel operated by the company, has been removed from its brand portfolio from September 3.

The change follows the termination of the lease deed by Fleur Hotels, a material subsidiary of Lemon Tree Hotels. The company had disclosed the lease termination on August 6.

The hotel will no longer operate under the Lemon Tree brand.
