LG Electronics India Share Price: Here’s why Citi put the stock on a 90-day ‘positive catalyst watch’

Shares of LG Electronics India Ltd. will be in focus on Thursday, October 1, after brokerage firm Citi retained a ‘Buy’ recommendation on the stock with a price target of ₹2,025 per share.

The target implies an upside of 18% from the stock’s closing price of ₹1,715.05 on Wednesday.

Citi said LG Electronics India has demonstrated resilient execution through its two-track strategy focused on premium and essential products, delivering strong growth without margin dilution in the first quarter.

The brokerage expects this trend to continue in the second quarter of financial year 2026-27, and estimates 15% year-on-year revenue growth and 20% growth in earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA).

According to Citi, premiumisation and price hikes are likely to offset headwinds from raw material costs and currency movements.

Over the medium term, an acceleration in exports and greater adoption of the Essential series could support further revenue growth and margin expansion, the brokerage said.

Citi has also placed LG Electronics India under a 90-day positive catalyst watch.

Separately, LG Electronics India recently announced a 5-7% increase in air-conditioner prices from October 1, citing higher input costs. The price hike comes ahead of the second leg of the festive season, including Durga Puja.

The company, a leading player in the room air-conditioner (RAC) segment, attributed the price increase to multiple factors, including elevated commodity prices, higher logistics and energy costs, and foreign exchange movements.

“LG Electronics India Ltd will be revising AC prices upwards by 5-7% from October 1, 2026, onwards,” the company said in a statement.

LG Electronics India said it has not taken any decision on price revisions for other products, including televisions, refrigerators and washing machines.

“No decision has been taken with regard to the revision of any other products as of now,” the company said.

The stock has attracted a largely positive analyst view, with 30 of the 36 analysts covering LG Electronics India having a ‘Buy’ rating, while three analysts each have a ‘Hold’ and ‘Sell’ rating.

LG Electronics India shares ended 1.34% lower at ₹1,715.05 on Wednesday. The stock has gained more than 15% so far in 2026.
