Marico Q1 result FY27: FMCG major Marico on Tuesday has reported a decent performance for the first quarter of the financial year, with consolidated net profit rising 25 per cent YoY to Rs 630 crore, compared to Rs 504 crore in the same period last year.

The company’s consolidated revenue from operations increased 22.9 per cent YoY to Rs 3,657 crore, up from Rs 3,221 crore a year ago, reflecting healthy growth across its domestic and international businesses.

Marico’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) also rose 25 per cent YoY to Rs 819 crore, compared with Rs 655 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.

The company’s EBITDA margin improved to 20.7 per cent, up from 20.3 per cent in the year-ago period, indicating better operating profitability despite higher input costs.

The cost of raw materials consumed increased to Rs 517 crore during the quarter, compared with Rs 431 crore in the same quarter last year, marking a 20 per cent YoY rise.

India business posts over 20 per cent growth

Marico’s India business has remained the key growth driver during the quarter. Revenue from the India segment rose 20.9 per cent YoY to Rs 3,003 crore, compared with Rs 2,483 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
