US Market | US stocks moved higher on Tuesday, led by strength in chip stocks, as investors weighed developments in the Iran war and turned their attention towards upcoming corporate earnings updates. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 340 points, or 0.7%, while the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq Composite advanced 0.7% and 1.1%, respectively.

US-Iran War | Iran’s Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni is meeting with mediators in Pakistan in an attempt to salvage the collapsed interim deal between Washington and Tehran. However, it remains unclear just what new arrangement could be reached to end the fighting. The two countries have continued trading strikes for the past 10 days. Iran attacked a tanker in the Strait of Hormuz early Tuesday, forcing its crew to abandon the ship, while the United States conducted yet another round of airstrikes targeting the Islamic Republic.
