Amid their move to the UK, new reports suggest that the ‘Suits’ actress might face trouble finding housekeepers and other staffers. Six years ago, when Markle and Prince Harry moved to the US in Montecito, the actress had significant trouble finding staff for her home.
Meghan Markle faced trouble trying to find housekeepers and other staff members for her Montecito home
The Page Six report revealed that many housekeeping staff members refused to work with the star after she moved to Montecito in 2020. The report alleged that Markle was extremely difficult to work with and was called “snobbish” for her behaviour, leading many people to refuse employment.A statement from the report shared, “She had trouble hiring maids because a lot of the housekeepers in Montecito didn’t want to work for them. Meghan would interview people herself and could come across as really snobbish and rude. Some of them were so offended by the way she spoke to them that word started getting around.” Her behaviour was labelled as bad enough to the point that people would reportedly joke about the matter of how “all the maids in Montecito hated them.”The report revealed that in the past year, a lot of staff members have left the royal couple’s team. This includes four staffers who left in June last year. Not only that, but their press secretary, Kyle Boulia, and Charlie Gipson, their UK press officer, also quietly resigned before the prince and Markle hired replacements. Lastly, in the past few weeks, reports revealed that two people from their private team left the group too.Another statement from the report read, “Meghan would interview people herself and could come across as really snobbish and rude. Some of them were so offended by the way she spoke to them that word started getting around.”
This is not the first time that Meghan Markle has been accused of questionable behaviour
This is not the first time that Markle has been called out for her behaviour. During her time in the Royal Palace before Prince Harry relinquished his royal duties, she was labeled as a bully by many of the palace aides. The allegations and rumors got so bad that an official investigation into the claims was conducted to see whether the situation was true or not. Markle denied all claims at the time, and no other report was ever revealed about the investigation. In another report from the outlet, the couple’s move to the UK has been a topic of debate for many neighbors, who are all ready to have some peace and quiet. A statement read, “The town is exhausted by them, the entitlement and the never-ending drama,” while another comment on the matter shared, “When we first heard Harry and Meghan were moving to Montecito, there were definitely some concerns. There had already been so much negative press and attention surrounding them and the royal family, and I think people are worried about what kind of spotlight that could bring to such a quiet community.”As of right now, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are officially in the UK with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Their children have already been enrolled in school in the area and will start attending next month.
