MOIL raises manganese ore prices by 5% for October


State-owned manganese ore producer MOIL has raised prices of manganese ore by 5% across all grades for October 2026, according to an exchange filing dated October 1.

The revised prices came into effect from midnight on September 30/October 1 and will remain applicable through October.

Prices of all ferro grades of manganese ore with manganese content of 44% and above have been increased by 5% from the levels prevailing since September 1.

MOIL has also raised prices by 5% for ferro grades with manganese content below 44%. The increase also covers chemical grades, SMGR grades and fines.

The company said the price changes were in line with its business practice of periodically fixing and revising prices for manganese ore and other products.

EMD prices unchanged

Separately, MOIL has kept the basic price of electrolytic manganese dioxide (EMD) unchanged at ₹1,80,000 per tonne for October.

The basic price of EMD flakes has also been retained at ₹1,71,000 per tonne.The latest manganese ore price revision applies to the October-December 2026 quarter, with the new prices taking effect from October 1.

MOIL shares closed 2.09% lower at ₹232.79 on the NSE on October 1.
