Among sectoral indices, Nifty Pharma emerged as the top performer, gaining over 1.5 per cent, supported by Divi’s Laboratories and Piramal Pharma. Nifty Energy, Nifty Metal, Nifty Auto and Nifty PSE also closed in positive territory. On the other hand, Nifty Realty was the top sectoral laggard, declining around 0.7 per cent, dragged by Prestige Estates and Phoenix Mills. Nifty Bank, Nifty IT, Nifty PSU Bank and Nifty FMCG also ended the session in the red.
