The company’s consolidated profit after tax (PAT) rose to ₹2,825 crore in the quarter ended June 30, 2026, from ₹1,974 crore a year earlier. Consolidated loan assets under management (AUM) climbed 43% year-on-year to an all-time high of ₹1,91,532 crore, compared with ₹1,33,938 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
On a sequential basis, consolidated PAT declined 17% from ₹3,397 crore in the March quarter, while loan AUM increased 5% from ₹1,81,916 crore.
The company’s core gold loan business continued to power growth, with consolidated gold loan AUM rising 48% year-on-year to ₹1,75,527 crore, an increase of ₹56,767 crore over the year.
Standalone performance
On a standalone basis, Muthoot Finance reported a 25% year-on-year increase in PAT to ₹2,550 crore for Q1 FY27.
Standalone loan AUM rose 43% to ₹1,72,053 crore, while standalone gold loan AUM increased 44% year-on-year to ₹1,63,298 crore.
The company said its branch network expanded to 7,654 branches as of June 30, 2026, compared with 7,413 a year ago.
Gold loans drive growth
Chairman George Jacob Muthoot said the company began FY27 on a strong note, with consolidated loan AUM reaching its highest-ever level, supported by sustained momentum in the core gold loan business.
He said the performance reflects growing customer demand for quick and reliable credit, while investments in technology and digital transformation are helping improve operational efficiency and customer experience.
Managing Director George Alexander Muthoot said the company’s standalone loan AUM reached a record high during the quarter, supported by strong growth in gold loans and a strategy focused on loan disbursements, operational efficiency and margin management.
He added that gold loans continue to witness rising acceptance across customer segments, while increased participation by organised lenders highlights the long-term growth potential of the sector. The company expects continued demand for secured lending and plans to strengthen its digital capabilities to improve credit delivery and customer experience.
