Nazara Technologies Q2 results: Company swings to ₹35 crore profit, revenue hits record high

Gaming company Nazara Technologies reported a net profit of ₹35.36 crore for the September quarter of FY27, compared with a net loss of ₹33.9 crore a year earlier, as revenue reached a record high.

Revenue rose 52.5% year-on-year to ₹803 crore from ₹526.5 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA), a measure of operating profit, increased 88.3% to ₹113 crore from ₹60 crore. The EBITDA margin expanded to 14.06% from 11.4% a year earlier.

The quarter ended September 30 was the first to include Bluetile and BestPlay in Nazara’s consolidated financial results. The two businesses have been included from August 1, 2026.

Gaming business drives growth

Revenue from Nazara’s gaming business more than doubled, rising 122% year-on-year to ₹656 crore. The segment reported an EBITDA margin of 21.5% and contributed 82% of consolidated revenue.

Mobile gaming revenue increased 167% to ₹550 crore. In the PC and console business, EBITDA rose 61%, while Curve’s EBITDA margin widened to 38.9%.

The offline business reported a 29% increase in EBITDA despite flat revenue, with its margin rising to 26.2%.

Bluetile and BestPlay add to revenue

Bluetile and BestPlay generated combined revenue of ₹329 crore during their first two months in Nazara’s consolidated results, up 49% from the corresponding period a year earlier.

Their combined EBITDA rose 64% to ₹64 crore, while the margin expanded to 19.4% from 17.5%.

Nazara attributed the growth to product development, entry into new markets, artificial intelligence-led automation of customer acquisition and cross-promotion across its portfolio.

For the first half of FY27, revenue grew 20% year-on-year to ₹1,232 crore, while EBITDA increased 52% to ₹166 crore.

Existing gaming studios also report growth

Growth across Nazara’s existing gaming businesses was supported by new content across its studios. WildWorks reported a 41% increase in revenue and a 39% rise in EBITDA, while Kiddopia’s revenue grew 21%. Curve’s revenue increased 27% and EBITDA rose 61%.

Chief Executive Officer Raymond A. Stauffer said revenue and EBITDA across the company’s existing gaming studios grew 11% and 17%, respectively, on an organic basis during the quarter.

Nazara said Bluetile’s capabilities in marketing, data, product development and technology were being built into shared group functions, with AI being integrated across all four areas.

Nazara Technologies shares closed marginally higher at ₹402.40 on the NSE on October 26, up 0.062%.
