NBCC bags ₹134-crore orders to build schools, education centre and Canara Bank office


State-owned NBCC (India) has secured five work orders worth a combined ₹134.27 crore, excluding GST, spanning school campuses, an education facility and a Canara Bank building.

The orders have been awarded by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Odisha’s State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) and Canara Bank, NBCC said in an exchange filing on Thursday, August 27.

All five contracts are domestic project-management consultancy assignments and were secured in the ordinary course of business.

Three Kendriya Vidyalaya projects worth over ₹110 crore

The bulk of the new orders comes from Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, which has awarded NBCC three school construction projects worth a combined ₹110.58 crore.

The largest, valued at ₹37.02 crore, is for the construction of Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 3 at AIIMS Darbhanga in Bihar.

NBCC has also secured a ₹36.92-crore contract to build a Kendriya Vidyalaya campus at Barkatha in Jharkhand’s Hazaribagh district and a ₹36.64-crore contract for another campus at Maharajganj in Bihar’s Siwan district.

Orders from Odisha SCERT, Canara Bank

Separately, Odisha’s Directorate of Teacher Education and SCERT has awarded NBCC a ₹11.14-crore contract to construct a Centre of Excellence for the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) at Bargarh.

Canara Bank has awarded the company another ₹12.55-crore contract for the construction of a bank building at Hospital Junction in Alappuzha, Kerala.

Together, the five contracts are worth about ₹134.27 crore, excluding GST.

NBCC shares closed 0.68% lower at ₹88.60 on the NSE on Thursday.
