Newspaper headlines: ‘Burnham faces climate revolt’ and ‘Harry wants to fix feud’

The Jackdaw gasfield will be given the go-ahead today, according to the Guardian. The paper says the move signals Prime Minister Andy Burnham’s commitment to the North Sea oil and gas industry, but “threatens to trigger a row with climate campaigners and Labour MPs”. It reports that the shift will be a “major boost” for Britain’s oil and gas industry, and once fully operational, will account for 6% of North Sea gas production.
