Deadline reported that Reedus posted the message after returning from Mongolia and looking through photographs from the last episode. He said choosing which images to share was difficult because the experience meant so much to him. The pictures showed Reedus in costume, holding a blood-covered clapperboard and embracing members of the cast and crew.Reedus called the team “the best I’ve ever worked with” and described the sense of achievement after filming ended as “just amazing.” He also told fans that the season involved intense work and commitment.“It was a special season,” Reedus wrote, adding, “It hits just way different this time.”The actor had previously announced in November that he had finished filming the series. In that earlier farewell, he described playing Daryl as a joy and thanked viewers for supporting the character throughout his run.

Reedus first appeared as Daryl in the third episode of ‘The Walking Dead’ in 2010. The crossbow-carrying survivor became one of the franchise’s most recognizable characters, even though he did not originate in Robert Kirkman’s comic books. Reedus remained with the flagship drama through its 2022 finale.The spinoff began in 2023 and followed Daryl after he washed ashore in France.
