The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM KISAN) scheme, launched in 2019, provides eligible farmers with financial assistance through direct benefit transfers. The 23rd instalment of ₹2,000 was released to eligible farmers on June 20. This instalment covers the period from April to July.

As per the official press release, over ₹18,880 crore was disbursed to more than 9.44 crore farmers through DBT. Out of the total beneficiaries, more than 2.18 crore are women farmers.

PM KISAN Scheme: Eligibility

Farmers whose names are added to the PM Kisan portal by their state or UT for a specific four-month period become eligible for the benefit starting in that same period. If they miss the payment for that period and any later instalments for reasons other than being disqualified under the exclusion rules, they can still receive all pending instalments once the issue causing the delay is fixed.PM KISAN Scheme: How to complain

While most farmers receive the funds directly in their bank accounts, some may occasionally face delays or find that an instalment has not been credited despite being eligible.

If you are one of them, you can register a complaint with the concerned authorities. Here’s how to reach the PM Kisan team:

Phone: Call 011-24300606 or 155261 to speak with a representative. For a toll-free option, dial 1800-115-526 to talk to the PM Kisan support team.

How to check your name on the PM Kisan Yojana beneficiary list?

  1. Go to the official website https://pmkisan.gov.in/ in your browser.
  2. Look for the ‘Beneficiary Status’ tab on the homepage.
  3. Choose to search using your Aadhaar number, bank account number or mobile number.
  4. Type in the correct information and click ‘Get Data’.
  5. The site will show if you’re registered and whether you’ve received the payments.
