Power Grid Corporation of India Ltdhas emerged as the successful bidder under the Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process for a project to set up an inter-state transmission system at the 765/400/220kV Fatehgarh-II Power Station on a Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) basis.
The state-owned power transmission company received the Letter of Intent (LoI) for the project on July 17, 2026, according to an exchange filing.
The project involves the installation and commissioning of two synchronous condensers (SynCon) at the Fatehgarh-II Power Station, along with the associated bays.
Power Grid said it had been selected as the successful bidder through the TBCB route and will execute the project on a BOOT basis.
The company did not disclose the financial value of the project or provide a timeline for its execution.
Shares of Power Grid ended 0.87% higher at ₹283.20 on the NSE on Friday.
