Quality Power Electrical Equipments reported an 80.1% year-on-year increase in consolidated profit after tax (PAT) to ₹63.33 crore for the second quarter of FY27, up from 35 crore in same quarter last year.
Revenue rose 34.1% year on year to ₹294 crore, driven by continued demand across the Group’s highvoltage equipment and power quality portfolios.
Its EBITDA increased 70.3% year-on-year to ₹84 crore in Q2 FY27, while the EBITDA margin expanded to 28.6% from 22.5% in the corresponding quarter last year, as per a press release filed at NSE.
For the first half of FY27, total revenue stood at ₹550 crore, registering growth of 33.2% year-on-year. PAT increased 52.4% to ₹110.05 crore.
The company reported a consolidated order book of approximately ₹2,010 crore, diversified across geographies and technology segments. It said the order book includes projects awarded by global utilities, transmission system operators, original equipment manufacturers and engineering, procurement and construction contractors.
Orders and business developments
During the quarter, the group secured orders across high-voltage equipment and power quality portfolios, including an international FACTS equipment order through its subsidiary Endoks Enerji in Japan. Its subsidiary Mehru also received multiple orders for 400 kV instrument transformers from Hitachi Energy India.
The company said it continued to strengthen its order pipeline across HVDC, FACTS and high-voltage equipment. It also secured initial orders for high-voltage interconnect equipment for hyperscale and AI data centre campuses in the United States, and made progress in grid-scale battery energy storage opportunities in Europe.
Expansion and proposed acquisition
Quality Power said operations have commenced at its Global Coil Factory in Sangli and its power conversion system (PCS) manufacturing facility in Niğde, Türkiye. The Sangli facility will manufacture high-voltage air-core dry-type reactors and specialised coil products, while the Türkiye facility will manufacture power electronic converters and inverters for utility-scale battery energy storage systems and other grid-connected applications.
The company has also executed a share purchase agreement on September 23, 2026, for the proposed acquisition of up to 100% stake in Winwin Speciality Insulators Limited. It said confirmatory due diligence was completed without any adverse findings. The transaction remains subject to applicable conditions and approvals.
Winwin has completed type testing for porcelain insulators up to 400 kV and secured qualifications and orders for 800 kV HVDC, 765 kV and 400 kV applications, the company said.
Outlook
Quality Power said its outlook remains encouraging, supported by investments in grid modernisation, high-voltage transmission, renewable energy integration and energy storage. It also cited rising electricity demand from data centres, industrial expansion and electrification as factors supporting demand for grid connectivity and power quality solutions.
The company said timely execution and capacity ramp-up remain key priorities. It is also monitoring the availability and pricing of raw materials, particularly electrical-grade steel, copper and specialised insulation systems.
Quality Power Electrical Equipments shares ended 1.45% lower at ₹1,410 on October 30, declining ₹20.80.
