RailTel secures ₹86 crore Mumbai civic cloud services order, execution till June 2029

RailTel Corporation of India secures ₹255 crore order from RVNL for tunnel communication systems


Telecom infrastructure firm RailTel Corporation of India Ltd on Monday (April 20) said it has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai for a customer project involving provisioning, configuration, testing, commissioning, operations and maintenance of cloud services for BMC.

The order value is estimated at ₹86,36 crore, including tax. The contract is domestic in nature and has been awarded by the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai, with no promoter or group company interest involved. It does not fall under related party transactions and is stated to be at arm’s length.

RailTel stated that the project will cover end-to-end cloud services for the civic body, including operations and maintenance, under the agreed terms and conditions. The execution period for the project extends up to June 5, 2029.

Last week, RailTel Corporation of India Ltd said it had received a Letter of Intent worth ₹100 crore from the Divisional Commissioner, Konkan Division, for the development and maintenance of an integrated IT solution.

The project involves the selection of a system integrator for monitoring minor minerals and includes both development and maintenance of the IT solution. The contract is domestic in nature.

The estimated size of the order, as per the Letter of Intent, is ₹100 crore, excluding taxes. The execution timeline for the project extends until April 14, 2031. RailTel stated that there is no promoter or group company interest in the awarding entity, and the contract does not fall under related party transactions.

Shares of Railtel Corporation of India Ltd ended at ₹325.90, down by ₹9.25, or 2.76%, on the BSE.
