The project involves the construction of doubling works on the Kundawa Chainpur (excluding) to Raxaul (excluding) section, spanning 41.04 km, in connection with the doubling of the Sitamarhi-Raxaul rail line in the Samastipur Division of East Central Railway.
According to the company’s exchange filing, the scope of work includes earthwork, blanketing, construction of minor and major bridges, station and other buildings, platform works, level crossing (LC) works, and other miscellaneous works for 25-tonne Indian Railway Standard Loading.
The total value of the contract is ₹358.97 crore, including 18% GST. The project is to be executed within 1,095 days.
RVNL said the contract has been awarded by a domestic entity under the general conditions of contract.
The company also clarified that neither its promoters nor promoter group entities have any interest in the awarding entity, and the contract does not fall under related-party transactions.
Separately, RVNL on Friday, July 17, said it had signed a RVNL to collaborate on the development and implementation of infrastructure projects in the state. Under the agreement, RVNL will identify and execute infrastructure projects on mutually agreed terms and conditions, and will act as the project executing agency for projects undertaken under the MoU.
Shares of RVNL were trading marginally higher at ₹226.46, up 0.45%.
