The company, which follows the January-December financial year, posted a net profit of ₹68.8 crore for the quarter, compared with ₹60.7 crore in the corresponding period last year. Revenue from operations rose 6.7% to ₹235.7 crore from ₹220.9 crore a year ago.
Operating performance improved during the quarter, with EBITDA rising 27.2% year-on-year to ₹89.3 crore from ₹70.2 crore. EBITDA margin expanded to 37.9% from 31.8% in the year-ago period.
The company said domestic sales grew 12% during the quarter, aided by the relaunch of its products. Export sales, however, declined 9% on a high base.
First-half revenue boosted by domestic sales growth
For the first half of the calendar year, company said revenue from operations increased 18% year-on-year to ₹464.9 crore. Domestic sales grew 14%, supported by the relaunch, while export sales rose 27% on a low base.
Commenting on the results, Managing Director Himanshu Bakshi said the company’s performance reflected disciplined execution across the business.
“Our performance this quarter reflects the disciplined execution on all fronts. Our targeted investments behind our brands and go-to-market capabilities are translating into profitable growth and market share gains in most of our brands, reinforcing our confidence in the strength of our strategy,” Bakshi said.
Shares of Sanofi India Ltd ended 0.18% higher at ₹3,375 on the NSE on Tuesday, ahead of the company’s second-quarter earnings announcement.
Sanofi Consumer Healthcare India Ltd became an independent legal entity following its demerger from Sanofi India Ltd on June 1, 2024. The company now operates as a standalone business focused on the consumer healthcare segment.
