SBI Funds Management fixes price band for ₹11,692 crore IPO; Details here


SBI Funds Management Ltd., a subsidiary of India’s largest lender State Bank of India Ltd. has announced the price band for its ₹11,692.91 crore Initial Public Offering (IPO) on Thursday, July 9. This will be the biggest IPO of 2026 so far.

What Is The Price Band For SBI Funds Management IPO?

As per official information, SBI Funds Management has fixed the price band of its IPO to be between ₹545 to ₹574 per share. Each share will carry a face value of ₹1 each.

The issue is a complete Offer For Sale (OFS) of over 20 crore shares with no fresh issue of equity, meaning SBI Funds Management will not receive any proceeds from the IPO.

What Is The Minimum Investment For One Lot Of SBI Funds Management IPO Shares?

Based on the price band, one lot of SBI Funds Management will include 26 shares.

For retail investors looking to bid for one lot of SBI Funds Management’s shares, you will have to entail a minimum investment of ₹14,924, and then invest in multiples of 26 shares thereafter per lot.

35% of the IPO has been reserved for retail investors, 5% for Small HNIs, 10% for big HNIs and the remaining 50% for Qualified Institutional Bidders (QIBs).

Will Existing Shareholders Of SBI Get To Bid In The SBI Funds Management IPO?

Yes, existing shareholders of SBI will have a shareholder quota in the IPO. As many as 1.3 crore shares worth nearly ₹750 crore have been reserved for existing SBI shareholders.

Shares worth ₹170 crore have also been reserved for eligible employees, who will also get a discount of ₹54 per share on the IPO price during the bidding process.

There is no discount for existing shareholders for bidding.

How Big Is SBI Funds Management?

At the upper end of the price band, SBI Funds Management will have a market capitalization of nearly ₹1.17 lakh crore, which puts it at par or even higher than many Nifty 50 companies.

State Bank of India, which currently holds 98.19% stake in the lender, will see its shareholding drop to 88.19% after the IPO, which will still be higher than the Minimum Public Shareholding (MPS) norms of 75%.

When Does The SBI Funds Management IPO Open & List?

SBI Funds Management’s anchor book will open on Monday, July 13. The issue will open for subscription on Tuesday, July 14, and close on Thursday, July 16.

The allotment finalization will be done on Friday, July 17 with the initiation of refunds and unblocking of funds for eligible and non-eligible shareholders taking place on Monday, July 20. That will also be the day when shares will be credited to eligible shareholders in their demat account.

Shares of SBI Funds Management are likely to begin trading on the bourses on Tuesday, July 21, 2026.
