The Nifty50 closed above 25,000 for the first time since 27 February 2026 on a closing basis. The 50-stock basket gained for the second consecutive week led by Shriram Finance and Bajaj Finance. It touched a 3-month intraday high this week. Nifty registered its biggest weekly gain since Feb 2021. Nifty Bank gained for the second consecutive week led by HDFC Bank and Yes Bank. Nifty Bank registered its biggest weekly gain since April 26.
