Shyam Metalics Q1 Update: Stainless steel, aluminium foil volumes rise


Shares of Shyam Metalics and Energy Ltd. were trading 0.17% lower at ₹953.45 on Monday, July 6, even as the company reported healthy operational growth across its value-added product portfolio for the June quarter.

The company said stainless steel sales volume increased 40.2% year-on-year, while average realisations rose 23.2%, reflecting healthy demand and improved pricing. On a sequential basis, sales volumes rose 7.8%, although realisations declined 2.6%.

Aluminium foil continued its strong momentum, with sales volumes rising 20.7% year-on-year and average realisations increasing 39.3%. Compared with the previous month, volumes grew 37.1%, while realisations improved 1.6%.

Pellet sales also remained robust, with volumes surging 92.3% year-on-year, while average realisations increased 2.2%. On a month-on-month basis, pellet sales volumes rose 38.9%, although realisations declined 5.6%.

On a quarter-on-quarter basis, stainless steel sales volumes declined 14.8%, while realisations improved 18%. Aluminium foil volumes were broadly flat, with realisations rising 18.7%. Pellet volumes increased 40.5%, though realisations slipped 5.2%.

Shyam Metalics shares were last trading at ₹953.45, taking their gains for the year to over 13%.
