Smartworks Coworking adds ₹235 crore in contracted rental revenue; stock up 2%


Shares of Smartworks Coworking Spaces Ltd. gained 2% on Monday, August 24, after the company added ₹235 crore in incremental contracted rental revenue through expansion mandates from existing clients.

The additional rental revenue builds on Smartworks’ ₹5,400 crore of contracted rental revenue as of June 30, 2026.

The expansion mandates include clients from Fortune 500 and Forbes 2000 companies, as well as large Indian conglomerates, highlighting continued demand from its existing customer base.

For the first quarter, the company reported a net profit of ₹13 crore compared to a loss of ₹5 crore in the first quarter of the previous year.

The revenue quarter under review stood at ₹546 crore, rising 44% from ₹379 crore in the June quarter of the previous cycle.

The company’s earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) increased by 43.5% to ₹346 crore in the fourth quarter from ₹241 crore in last year.

However, Smartworks’ margin contracted 63.3% from 63.5% in the year-ago period.Smartworks Coworking Spaces shares settled 2.21% higher at ₹523 on Friday. The stock has gained nearly 4% so far in 2026.
