Stocks to BUY or SELL Today, August 27: The Indian stock market is expected to start on a flat note on Thursday (August 27), as indicated by GIFT Nifty, amid mixed signals from Asian markets.

As of 8:10 am IST, GIFT Nifty was flat at 24,362. GIFT Nifty is a pre-market indicator for the Nifty 50 and often signals whether the benchmark index is likely to open higher, lower or flat based on global market cues.

Ahead of the trading session, SEBI-registered research analyst Kunal Bothra has recommended a few stocks that could potentially be bought or sold during Thursday’s session.

Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Share Price Target Today

Kunal Bothra has recommended a BUY call on Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders, with a target price of Rs 2,800 and a stop-loss at Rs 2,600.

Bharti Airtel Share Price Target Today

According to Kunal Bothra, Bharti Airtel has a target price of Rs 1,875 and a stop-loss at Rs 1,940. He has recommended a SELL call on the stock.

Asian markets traded in mixed territory on Thursday (August 27), with major indices showing a broadly mixed trend.

Japan’s Nikkei 225 traded flat at 66,276, while South Korea’s KOSPI gained over 2 per cent to 6,949.46. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng traded around 0.5 per cent lower at 25,530, while China’s Shanghai Composite ticked higher by 0.2 per cent to 3,917.60.

Stock Market on August 26

Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty drifted lower on Wednesday, giving up their intraday gains, dragged down by Reliance Industries and IT stocks.

On Wednesday, August 26, the 30-share BSE benchmark Sensex fell 183.15 points, or 0.24 per cent, to close at 77,472.94. The NSE Nifty declined 126.80 points, or 0.52 per cent, to close at 24,207.75.
