Stocks to pick for next week: Top 5 large-cap picks; strong buy/hold calls with 11-29% upside potential | List - Markets

Stocks to pick for next week: The stock market currently shows several opportunities where specific companies are demonstrating a steady improvement in their performance scores. Analysts have identified five particular stocks that combine consistent fundamental growth with the potential for price increases of up to 29 per cent.

The list is prepared using a screening method that tracks changes in a stock’s average score over time. Stocks that show continuous improvement in these scores are considered stronger candidates, as they indicate better fundamentals and growing market confidence.

Minimum Market Cap of Rs 19,000 crore

This curated stock series includes only those companies with a market capitalisation exceeding Rs 19,000 crore.

Stocks with a Potential Upside of 11-29 per cent.

Mean price targets are calculated for all stocks where analyst price targets for the next 12 months are available. This mean price target is then compared against current market prices to determine the average potential upside, expressed as a percentage. To qualify for inclusion in this list, a stock must demonstrate a potential upside of at least 11 per cent.

Stocks with “Strong Buy”, “Buy”, or “Hold” Recommendation Ratings

The recommendation rating for each stock is sourced from Refinitiv’s Institutional Brokers’ Estimate System (I/B/E/S). These recommendations are assigned based on a standard five-point scale: Strong Buy, Buy, Hold, Reduce, and Sell.

The I/B/E/S consensus represents the average recommendation of all analysts covering a specific stock. The list provided herein includes only those stocks with a recommendation rating of “Strong Buy”, “Buy”, or “Hold”.

Improvement in Score Over a One-Week Period

Only those companies demonstrating an improvement in their score over a one-week period have been considered. We compared the most recent average score against the score recorded one week prior. Companies exhibiting an upward trend in their scores have been selected for inclusion in this list.
