Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and actor Vijay made a memorable appearance at Silverstone on Saturday as Ajith Kumar competed in the latest round of the Michelin Le Mans Cup. Vijay attended the event to support Ajith Kumar and waved the green flag to officially start the race.Vijay greeted Ajith Kumar at the circuit before the race. Actor Trisha Krishnan was also present at the venue while shooting for a film in London.

As seen in the videos shared on X, Vijay was seen at the Silverstone Circuit ahead of the Michelin Le Mans Cup round. The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister later stood trackside and waved the green flag as the race got underway.Videos from the venue showed Vijay meeting Ajith Kumar before the competition. The two stars were seen exchanging greetings, while Vijay also posed for photographs and acknowledged the attention surrounding his appearance. Another video showed Vijay wishing Ajith Kumar ahead of his racing outing.

Trisha Krishnan joins Vijay and Ajith Kumar

Trisha Krishnan was also spotted at Silverstone during the weekend. The actor is currently in London for a film shoot and attended the circuit during the race event, as reported by India Today.In videos from the venue, Trisha Krishnan was seen walking past security in a white top, blue jeans and a brown jacket.The Silverstone round was the fifth event of the 2026 Michelin Le Mans Cup championship. Ajith Kumar has continued to pursue motorsport alongside his acting career and represented his team at the UK circuit.Ajith Kumar was also seen interacting with fans around his car. In one video, he gestured to the crowd and asked them not to scream as he stepped out of the vehicle.

Meanwhile, Radhika Sarathkumar shared a selfie with Trisha Krishnan during their meeting in London. She also sent her wishes to Ajith Kumar before his Silverstone race.Sharing the picture on social media, Radhika Sarathkumar wrote, “Caught up with the gorgeous Trisha here in London! Wishing our very own ‘Thala’ Ajith Kumar the absolute best as he takes on the track this weekend (sic).”Radhika Sarathkumar later posted a video from her meeting with Ajith Kumar at Silverstone Circuit. Ajith Kumar’s team finishes 38th overall

Ajith Kumar’s racing team, Ajith RedAnt by Virage, faced a difficult outing at Silverstone. According to Sportstar, the team finished 38th overall after completing the two-hour Michelin Le Mans Cup race. The No. 16 car was driven by Ajith Kumar and French racer Romain Vozniak. The pair finished three laps behind the overall winner after a challenging contest.The team had entered the race with a stronger starting position. Ajith Kumar and Romain Vozniak had qualified eighth in the LMP3 Pro/Am category earlier on Saturday.However, the qualifying result did not translate into a points-scoring finish. Ajith RedAnt by Virage could not maintain its position during the main race and eventually ended the event outside the points.

Ajith RedAnt by Virage remains on 21 points

The Silverstone result also affected the team’s immediate championship prospects. Ajith RedAnt by Virage did not add any points from the Silverstone round. The team currently has 21 points in the championship standings.
