Tata debt fund NAV delayed on AMFI website: What investors should know

Tata Mutual Fund has disclosed a delay in uploading the net asset value (NAV) of its Tata CRISIL-IBX Financial Services 3-6 Months Debt Index Fund on the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) website.

The fund house said the NAV was uploaded on its own website on September 25, 2026, but due to technical difficulties, it was uploaded on the AMFI website only on September 28 at 12:13:49 pm.

Does the delay impact investors?

Not necessarily.

The disclosure refers specifically to the upload of the NAV on the AMFI website and does not say that the NAV was calculated late or that transactions in the scheme were processed with a delay.

For investors, the key distinction is between a delay in NAV calculation/publication and a delay in displaying an already-published NAV on a particular platform.

If the NAV was calculated and made available by Tata Mutual Fund as scheduled, a subsequent delay in its upload on AMFI’s website would not, by itself, mean that investors received a different NAV or suffered a financial loss.

However, timely NAV disclosure is important because investors use NAV data to track the value of their mutual fund holdings and assess transactions. A delay can temporarily make the latest NAV unavailable on the AMFI platform, potentially creating confusion for investors checking the industry-wide database.

What should mutual fund investors check?

Investors who were looking for the September 25 NAV of the scheme should check the fund house’s website or their transaction/account statement rather than assuming that the AMFI upload delay means the NAV itself was delayed.

The Tata CRISIL-IBX Financial Services 3-6 Months Debt Index Fund is an open-ended index fund that seeks to replicate or track the CRISIL-IBX Financial Services 3-6 Months Debt Index, subject to tracking error.

The scheme is classified under ‘Other Schemes – Index Fund’. Its product labelling at the time of the NFO indicated relatively low credit risk and relatively low interest-rate risk, although the fund house states that the product label can change based on the scheme’s actual portfolio.

What does Tata MF’s disclosure mean for investors?

At present, the fund house’s disclosure establishes a technical delay in uploading the NAV on AMFI’s website, but it does not establish any delay in NAV calculation, incorrect NAV, or financial loss to investors.

Therefore, investors should not interpret the AMFI upload delay alone as evidence of an impact on their investment returns or transactions.
