TCS partners with Sweden's SKF to modernise its technology services, provide AI-led digital transformation


Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. has entered a strategic partnership with SKF to accelerate AI-led digital transformation across the latter’s global operations.

Under the long-term collaboration, TCS will provide end-to-end managed services across applications, infrastructure, data, end-user services, security and connectivity for the industrial manufacturing company globally.

In a press release filed with the exchanges, TCS said that the partnership aims to modernise SKF’s technology landscape and build an AI-enabled digital enterprise to improve agility, resilience and operational efficiency.

TCS will combine its manufacturing and IT expertise with AI-led agentic workflows to simplify SKF’s technology architecture, upgrade core infrastructure and accelerate adoption of next-generation enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms.

The collaboration is also expected to standardise operations and strengthen domain-led technology architecture across the organisation.

“The next decade of industrial manufacturing will be defined by how deeply companies integrate AI into how they design, produce, and serve,” SKF CEO Rickard Gustafson said.

He added, “With TCS as our partner, we are not just modernising our technology, we are also building the operational and AI foundations that will set new standards for precision and customer value across our industry.”

TCS Managing Director and CEO K. Krithivasan said the partnership is focused on creating a resilient and scalable digital foundation for SKF’s future operations.

“This collaboration reflects our joint commitment for making SKF an AI-native, industry-leading technology-driven industrial manufacturer,” he said.

The partnership will support SKF in building a globally connected operating model with AI-enabled systems and harmonised processes, while retaining flexibility for local market requirements. TCS added that its full-stack AI approach will help SKF drive customer-centric transformation initiatives across the industrial value chain.

SKF is a Sweden-based industrial manufacturing company founded in 1907. It manufactures bearings, seals, lubrication systems and condition monitoring solutions. The company operates in around 130 countries, employs over 37,000 people globally and reported annual sales of SEK 91.6 billion in 2025.

TCS has been operating in the Nordic region since 1991 and currently employs over 20,000 people across Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark.

Shares of TCS were trading flat at ₹2,275.50 as of 11.44 am on Wednesday. The stock has declined nearly 30% so far this year.
