Tejas Networks shares rally 13% as TCS intends to give order worth ₹1,537 crore


Shares of Tejas Networks gained nearly 13% on Friday, August 28, after the company received a ₹1,537 crore letter of intent (LoI) from Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). This is its biggest single-day gain since May 7, 2026, when the stock surged 15.2%.

The LoI, dated August 27, 2026, is for the supply of RAN equipment, accessories and installation materials for BSNL 4G mobile network for 18,685 sites, Tejas Networks informed the exchanges on Thursday.

TCS is expected to issue a formal, detailed purchase order in due course to formalize the execution.

At the end of the June quarter, Tejas Networks’ order book was at ₹1,529 crore. This single ₹1,537 crore LoI effectively doubles its order backlog.

The Tejas Networks stock is down 33% in the last three years.

In August 2023, it received a ₹7,492 crore purchase order from TCS for 1 lakh BSNL 4G/5G sites. Tejas Networks completed the supply, shipment of equipment for over 1 lakh sites by May 2025.

The current order is a separate add-on for 18,685 extra BSNL sites.

According to investor presentations, Tejas Networks is actively awaiting an additional expansion order for 26,000 more 4G sites using its RAN systems under a parallel BSNL rollout plan.

Shares of Tejas Networks gained 12.9% to hit an intraday high of ₹576.85 apiece on Friday. The stock was up 10% at ₹562.4 apiece at 10.20 am. It has gained 13.7% in the past month and is up 24.3% this year, so far.
