The additional orders include communication equipment, electro-optics, ammunition fuzes, Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) systems, spares and services.

Major orders received include communication equipment, electro optics, ammunition fuzes, Chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) systems, spares, services, etc,” according to a stock exchange filing.

First Quarter Results
Bharat Electronics reported a largely in-line set of earnings for the June quarter, with net profit and revenue marginally ahead of CNBC-TV18 estimates, while operating margin came in below Street expectations. The state-run defence company also approved a proposal to increase its authorised share capital, subject to shareholders’ approval.
BEL’s standalone net profit rose 8.8% year-on-year to ₹1,054 crore, ahead of the CNBC-TV18 poll estimate of ₹1,031 crore. Revenue from operations increased 25.3% to ₹5,533 crore, beating the Street estimate of ₹5,100 crore.
Earnings Before Interest, Tax, Depreciation and Amortisation (EBITDA) grew 12.1% to ₹1,389.2 crore, marginally higher than the CNBC-TV18 estimate of ₹1,354 crore. However, EBITDA margin contracted to 25.1% from 28.1% a year ago and was below the poll estimate of 26.6%.

Total income for the quarter stood at ₹5,700 crore compared with ₹4,580 crore a year ago, while profit before tax increased 8.8% year-on-year to ₹1,403 crore from ₹1,289 crore. Other income rose marginally to ₹167 crore from ₹164 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
In its press release, BEL said revenue from operations grew 25.3% year-on-year during the first quarter, while profit before tax increased 8.8%. The company added that its order book stood at ₹72,258 crore as of July 1, 2026.
Separately, the board approved a proposal to increase the company’s authorised share capital from ₹750 crore to ₹1,000 crore by increasing the number of equity shares of face value ₹1 each from 750 crore to 1,000 crore. The proposal is subject to shareholders’ approval at the upcoming annual general meeting.

BEL also said it had assessed the impact of the ongoing conflict in Israel on its existing contracts and agreements with companies based there, and concluded that there is no material financial impact on the company as of the date of the results.
Shares of Bharat Electronics Ltd ended at ₹403.60, up by ₹1.50, or 0.37%, on the BSE.
