Titagarh Share Price Target: Shares of Titagarh Rail Systems are in focus after brokerage firm Nuvama Securities maintained its Buy rating on the railway stock while revising its target price downward to Rs 1,050 from Rs 1,089.
The brokerage’s latest view comes after Titagarh Rail Systems has reported a decent performance in the June 2026 quarter, with growth in its passenger coach business helping offset weakness in the wagon segment.
Based on the reported current market price of around Rs 833.90, the revised target indicates an upside potential of nearly 26 per cent.
Titagarh Rail Systems’ revenue increased 9 per cent YoY to Rs 740 crore during the June 2026 quarter. Adjusted profit rose 16 per cent, while the company’s EBITDA margin improved by around 1.35 per cent points to 12.8 per cent.
One of the key points highlighted by Nuvama is Titagarh Rail Systems’ sizeable order book.
At the end of the June 2026 quarter, the company’s total order book stood at around Rs 13,300 crore. Of this, approximately Rs 2,470 crore came from the freight segment, while around Rs 10,400 crore was from passenger coaches. The remaining orders were related to shipbuilding and defence.
The company’s book-to-bill ratio stood at around 4.2 times, providing visibility for future revenue execution.
While the passenger rail business is showing strong growth, the wagon segment continues to face challenges.
Titagarh Rail Systems dispatched 1,284 wagons in Q1FY27, compared with 1,628 wagons in the corresponding quarter last year. According to Nuvama, the existing wagon order book could support operations until Q4FY27, making fresh Indian Railways wagon tenders an important potential trigger for the company.
The management has indicated that although the company has manufacturing capacity of around 1,000 wagons per month, it plans to keep dispatches at around 600-650 wagons per month until new tenders are received.
The company has commenced production of Vande Bharat trains, and the prototype is expected to be ready by Q3 FY27 or Q4 FY27. Deliveries of Mumbai Metro coaches are likely to begin in Q3–Q4 FY27, while Pune Metro deliveries are expected to start in Q1 FY28.
Titagarh was trading at Rs 832.45, down Rs 18.60 or 2.19 per cent from the previous close of Rs 851.05. The stock has opened at Rs 846.15, touched a high of Rs 853.00 and a low of Rs 830.05 during the session, while the 52-week low stands at Rs 568.65. The upper circuit limit is Rs 998.90 and the lower circuit is Rs 666.00.
