Vardhman Textiles Q1 Results: Shares slip from day's high despite 50% jump in Q1 profit


Shares of Vardhman Textiles slipped from the day’s highs on Thursday, July 30, after the company reported its June quarter earnings report.

The company’s consolidated net profit rose 50% year-on-year to ₹310 crore from ₹207 crore in Q1FY26. Revenue from operations increased 13.3% to ₹2,703 crore during the quarter, compared with ₹2,386 crore in the corresponding period last year.

Earnings Before Interest, Tax, Depreciation and Amortisation (EBITDA) rose 45.4% to ₹473.4 crore from ₹325.6 crore a year ago. The EBITDA margin expanded to 17.5% from 13.6%, reflecting improved operating performance.

The company’s profit before tax (PBT) climbed to ₹418.1 crore from ₹276.1 crore a year earlier, while total income rose to ₹2,781.1 crore from ₹2,456 crore. Tax expense increased to ₹103.5 crore from ₹68.4 crore in the year-ago quarter.

The textiles business, which remains the company’s largest segment, reported revenue of ₹2,648.2 crore, up from ₹2,342.3 crore a year ago. Segment profit before interest and tax increased to ₹434.4 crore from ₹300.7 crore. The acrylic fibre business also improved, posting segment profit of ₹17.6 crore against a loss of ₹0.9 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

Vardhman Textiles also recorded a share of profit from associates of ₹15.8 crore, compared with ₹12.1 crore a year ago. During the quarter, the company issued 1.94 lakh equity shares under its Employee Stock Option Scheme (ESOS).

Shares of Vardhman Textiles are trading 2.7% lower on Thursday after the results announcement at ₹612.5. The stock has gained 40% so far in 2026.
