The company said October 14 has been fixed as the record date for determining shareholders eligible for the divident, if declared.
Vedanta has not disclused the amount or per-share value of the proposed interim dividend in the filing. The board meeting will take place under Regulation 29 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
Trading window stays closed aroung results
Vedanta also said its trading window will remain closed for designated persons until 48 hours after the company declaures its unaudited financial results for the second quarter and half year ended September 30. 2026.
The restriction has been imposed under the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Prohibition of Insider Trading) Regulations, 2015 and the company’s insider trading code.

Q1 performance
In its first quarterly results since completing the demerger, Vedanta reported a rise in profitability despite a marginal sequential decline in revenue. Profit for the June quarter increased to ₹5,294 crore from ₹4,267 crore in the preceding quarter, while revenue fell 1.6% to ₹24,205 crore from ₹24,609 crore.The company’s EBITDA rose 13% quarter-on-quarter to ₹8,501 crore from ₹7,559 crore, with the EBITDA margin widening to 35.1% from 30.7%.Shares of the company ended 0.89% higher, at ₹254.30 on October 5.
