Vedanta Stocks in Focus: Shares of the newly listed Vedanta group entities, Vedanta Power, Vedanta Oil & Gas, and Vedanta Iron & Steel, fell up to 5.6 per cent on Thursday (July 30) after reporting their maiden quarterly earnings since being demerged from Vedanta Ltd.

The decline came despite a mixed set of June-quarter (Q1FY27) results, with investors reacting to losses at Vedanta Power and softer operating performance at Vedanta Oil & Gas.

Demerged Vedanta Stocks Post Q1 Results

Here’s how the Vedanta group entities traded following their Q1 results:

Vedanta Power Share Price

As of 12:30 pm, Vedanta Power shares were down over 3 per cent at Rs 34.24. The stock touched an intraday low of Rs 33.83, falling as much as 4.2 per cent during the session.

Vedanta Oil & Gas Share Price

Vedanta Oil & Gas shares declined 4 per cent to Rs 33.74. The stock fell as much as 5.6 per cent intraday, making it the biggest loser among the demerged entities.

Vedanta Iron & Steel Share Price

Vedanta Iron & Steel shares were trading 1.4 per cent lower at Rs 30.38. The stock hit an intraday low of Rs 30.10, down 2.3 per cent during the day.

Vedanta Stocks Q1 Results

The weakness across the Vedanta group entities followed their June-quarter earnings, which presented a mixed operational picture.

Vedanta Power Q1 Results

Vedanta Power reported a standalone net loss of Rs 449 crore and a consolidated net loss of Rs 423 crore, compared with profits in the year-ago period.

Despite the losses, the company posted higher revenue, with total income rising to Rs 1,844 crore in Q1FY27 from Rs 1,734 crore a year earlier.

Vedanta Oil & Gas Q1 Results

Vedanta Oil & Gas swung to a net profit of Rs 945 crore in the June quarter from a loss of Rs 476 crore in the preceding quarter.

However, revenue from operations declined 3.1 per cent sequentially to Rs 2,507 crore, while EBITDA fell 7.7 per cent to Rs 814 crore. The EBITDA margin narrowed to 32.5 per cent from 34.1 per cent in the March quarter.

Vedanta Iron & Steel Q1 Results

Vedanta Iron & Steel reported a strong operational performance. Revenue increased 18 per cent year-on-year to Rs 3,662 crore, while EBITDA surged 55 per cent to Rs 508 crore, lifting the EBITDA margin to 13.9 per cent from 10.6 per cent a year ago.

Steel sales volumes rose 9 per cent, while iron ore volumes increased 2 per cent during the quarter.

Vedanta Aluminium, Vedanta Yet to Announce Q1 Results

Among the demerged entities, Vedanta Aluminium is yet to report its June-quarter earnings. Parent company Vedanta Ltd is also scheduled to announce its Q1 results later.

Vedanta Aluminium Share Price

Vedanta Aluminium shares were down 1.1 per cent at Rs 434.75. The stock slipped to an intraday low of Rs 433.40, a decline of 1.4 per cent during the session.

Vedanta Ltd Share Price

Vedanta Ltd, with a market capitalisation of Rs 1,03,449.32 crore, was trading largely unchanged at Rs 264.45. The stock remained range-bound during the session, moving within a narrow Rs 3.10 band as investors awaited the company’s June-quarter earnings.
