Waaree said the CBP’s findings do not conclude that the company exported solar modules manufactured using Chinese-origin cells to the United States. Following an on-site inspection of its manufacturing facility in India, the US agency confirmed that no such exports had taken place.
The company added that it fully cooperated with the investigation, and the CBP did not draw any adverse inference against it. It also rejected the petitioner’s request to extend an evasion finding to all of Waaree’s imports into the US.
According to Waaree, the CBP’s determination applies only to a limited set of historical import entries and does not represent a final adjudication under US law.
The company said it intends to pursue all available legal remedies, including a de novo administrative review and, if required, judicial review before the US Court of International Trade.
It is currently evaluating its legal options in consultation with its US trade counsel.
Waaree also said that its US operations remain unaffected by the development. The company said manufacturing activities, customer deliveries and commercial operations continue as usual, adding that it remains committed to regulatory compliance and will cooperate with the relevant authorities while providing updates as required.
Waaree Energies shares ended Thursday’s session 0.66% lower at ₹3,009.65. The stock has gained about 2% so far in 2026.
