According to the company, one of the plants will have a capacity of 400 MWac / 530 MWp, while the other will have a capacity of 400 MWac / 552 MWp. MWac refers to the alternating current capacity supplied to the electricity grid. At the same time, MWp (megawatt-peak) is the standard rating of a solar PV plant’s maximum output under standard test conditions.
The awards were received from one of India’s leading renewable energy companies, whose identity was not disclosed in the filing. The projects are domestic in nature and are scheduled to be completed during financial year 2027-28, in accordance with the terms of the awards.
The share of the company ended 0.63% in the red on Friday, July 24. The stock has fallen 3.15% in the year so far.
Earlier this week, the EPC arm of the Waaree Group reported a 34% year-on-year rise in net profit for the June quarter, driven by strong revenue growth. Revenue from operations rose 53% year-on-year to ₹924 crore during the quarter, while EBITDA increased 48% to ₹173 crore. The company’s EBITDA margin stood at 18.8%, compared with 19.5% in the corresponding quarter last year.
