Yash Learns Hindi While Shooting 'Ramayana'; Praises Ranbir Kapoor's Performance |


Rocking Star Yash will be seen playing Ravana in Nitesh Tiwari’s mythological epic ‘Ramayana’ starring Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi. Recently, during the film’s grand trailer launch in Delhi, the Kannada superstar spoke about his experience working on the film and revealed how it gave him a chance to learn Hindi.

Yash calls ‘Ramayana’ a special journey

As per a report by IANS, during the event, he even tried speaking in Hindi while addressing the audience. He said, “Namaskar. I am really happy to be a part of this wonderful project. Sab Hindi mein baat kar rahe hain yahaan. Main bhi koshish karunga. Iss mukaam tak laane ke liye all credit should go to Namit Malhotra. Unhone mujhe yeh patra nibhaane ka avsar diya, uske liye main unko dhanyawaad kehta hoon. Hindi seekhne ka bhi mauka mila. (Everyone has been speaking in Hindi here, so I thought I’d give it a try too. All the credit for bringing me to this stage goes to Namit Malhotra. He gave me the opportunity to play this character, and I am truly grateful to him for that. I also got the chance to learn Hindi.)”

Yash expresses gratitude towards Namit Malhotra and Nitesh Tiwari

The ‘KGF’ star thanked producer Namit Malhotra for giving him the opportunity to be part of the film. He also thanked director Nitesh Tiwari for helping him understand his character.He said, “This is India’s dream. We all have come together with one vision and one conviction, to put our story on the global platform. So, all of us are keeping all our interests aside. We have only one interest—to tell Prabhu Shri Ram’s story to the global audience and also to celebrate him in our country. So, thank you, Namit, for having this courage and conviction. Thank you so much, Nitesh sir, for guiding me and helping me understand the character’s nuances.

Yash praises his co-stars

Yash also talked about his co-stars, praising Ranbir Kapoor as ‘phenomenal’ and saying, “The whole of India will understand how you’ve surrendered to this role and what magic you have created.”He also appreciated Sai Pallavi’s performance as Sita. Yash said watching her on screen was a wonderful experience and added that “her eyes say it all.”The actor also praised Rakul Preet Singh and Shobana for playing their characters.The trailer launch of Ramayana was attended by several well-known names from the film industry. Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Ravi Dubey, Nitesh Tiwari, Namit Malhotra, Kunal Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh, Vivek Oberoi, Karan Johar and many others were present at the event.
