Yash‘s upcoming action drama ‘Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups’ is one of the most anticipated Indian films of the year.Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film is scheduled to arrive in theatres on August 26, 2026. Producer Venkat K. Narayana has expressed confidence that the film will impress audiences on the big screen.

Producer promises a unique cinematic experience

In a chat with Gulte, Venkat K. Narayana described Toxic as an ambitious project with a distinctive approach to storytelling.He said, “Toxic is a very ambitious project. Its scale, grandeur, and storytelling approach are unlike anything we’ve done before. I’m completely confident that once audiences watch it in theatres they’ll enjoy the experience and appreciate what we’ve created.”He added, “What is going to excite audiences is what has already been revealed. Toxic is a fairytale meant only for grown-ups.”

A father-son rivalry at the heart of the story

Directed and co-written by Geetu Mohandas, ‘Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups’ is an action thriller centred on the conflict between a father and his son. The film stars Yash in the lead role and features an ensemble cast that includes Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Akshay Oberoi, Sudev Nair, Amit Tiwari, Huma Qureshi and Rukmini Vasanth.

Release date revised before final schedule

The film’s theatrical release has been postponed more than once. It was originally scheduled to hit cinemas on March 19, 2026 before being rescheduled to June 4. The makers later decided to delay the release again to secure a better worldwide release window. After the revised plans, Toxic is now locked for a worldwide theatrical release on August 26, 2026.
