Zerodha has increased its instant fund withdrawal limit from ₹2 lakh to ₹5 lakh, allowing customers to transfer a higher amount from their trading accounts to their bank accounts through its instant withdrawal facility.
The revised limit is available between 9 am and 6 pm, including weekends and market holidays, Zerodha co-founder and CEO Nithin Kamath said in a post on X.
The facility allows eligible customers to withdraw funds without waiting for the regular withdrawal settlement cycle.
Zerodha has said that it has processed nearly ₹1 lakh crore in instant payouts since 2024, at no additional cost to customers.
How to withdraw money instantly from Zerodha
To use the facility, customers need to log in to their Zerodha account and follow these steps:
1. Go to the Funds section.
2. Select Instant under the withdrawal options.
3. Enter the amount to be withdrawn.
4. Tap Continue and confirm the request.
According to Zerodha’s support documentation, customers can withdraw a minimum of ₹100 and a maximum of ₹5 lakh through this facility per day. Only one instant withdrawal request is permitted per day.
Who can use the facility?
The instant withdrawal facility is subject to certain conditions.
Customers must have a sufficient withdrawable balance in their trading account. Funds deposited into the account on the same day cannot be withdrawn instantly.
The facility is also subject to restrictions linked to pending or executed orders and open positions. Eligible long-term (CNC) sell and MTF sell orders are treated differently under Zerodha’s rules.
The ₹5 lakh limit applies to instant withdrawals and should not be confused with the overall limit for regular fund withdrawals.
Customers can check the detailed eligibility conditions and withdrawal process on Zerodha’s support page.
