FTSE and Sensex scheduled for rebalancing today — Check new additions

Global index provider FTSE as well as Indian benchmark index Sensex are scheduled for rebalancing on Friday, June 19.

While seven stocks are being added to the FTSE indices, the Sensex will see the weightage of two stocks increasing, as per Nuvama Alternative & Quantitative Research, BSE and Bloomberg.

The same will be in effect from June 22, 2026.

FTSE

FTSE is expected to see a reasonably active volume day, with India likely to witness passive foreign institutional investment (FII) inflows of over $600 million, driven largely by multiple recent listings making the cut for inclusion.

Lenskart Solutions, Groww, Tata Capital, ICICI Prudential Asset Management, LG Electronics India, Meesho and Tenneco Clean Air India are among the stocks that will be added to the FTSE indices.

Lenskart Solutions is expected to see flows of $89 million for 16.7 million shares, followed by Groww which is likely to see $84 million worth of flows for 39.4 million shares.

It added that Tata Capital is set to see flows worth $76 million for 20.7 million shares, followed by ICICI Prudential AMC with $68 million flows for 1.9 million shares, LG Electronics with $66 million for 3.9 million shares, Meesho with $49 million worth of flows for 26.9 million shares and $20 million of flows for Tenneco Clean Air for 3.3 million shares.

Meanwhile, Bharti Airtel, Adani Enterprises, IndusInd Bank, Eicher Motors, AB Capital Poonawalla Fincorp, Samman Capital, UltraTech Cement, HDB FInancial Services, Apollo Hospitals, CG Power, Vishal Mega Mart and ITC Hotels are set to witness their weightage increase in the FTSA indices.

On the other hand, shares of Adani Ports, Bajaj Finance, Maruti Suzuki India, HCLTech, Tata Steel, Avenue Supermarts, Prime Focus Ltd., BPCL, Adani Wilmar, Usha Martin, ICICI Lombard General Insurance, Jindal Stainless, TVSh Holdings and Escorts Kubota will see their weightage decline.

Sensex

The weightage of two stocks — Bharti Airtel and Eternal — will increase in Sensex.

Bharti Airtel is set to see flows of $95 million for 4.8 million shares while Eternal will see $5 million flows for 1.7 crore shares.

The adjustments will be made with the weightage decreasing for four stocks — Maruti Suzuki India, HDFC Bank, Reliance Industries Ltd. and ICICI Bank..
