HCL Tech’s C Vijayakumar and L&T’s SN Subrahmanyan crossed ₹100 crore in annual pay, while SBI’s chief was the lowest-paid among Nifty 50 CEOs.

The managing directors and chief executive officers of India’s top 50 companies collectively received nearly ₹1,443 crore in remuneration in FY26, taking the average pay to around ₹29 crore, up 15% from the previous year. The average remuneration stood at around ₹25 crore in FY25, according to data compiled from companies’ annual reports and Bloomberg.
