Consolidated revenue grew 13% year-on-year to ₹1,457.8 crore from ₹1,290.3 crore. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) rose 18.7% year-on-year to ₹735.3 crore, compared with ₹619.2 crore a year ago. The EBITDA margin stood at 50.44%, compared with 48% in Q1 FY26.
The company said advertising revenue stood at ₹282.51 crore for the quarter, compared with ₹289.94 crore in the year-ago period. Domestic subscription revenue increased around 3% to ₹485.46 crore, from ₹470.12 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
Sequential performance
On a sequential basis, Sun TV’s revenue increased around 68% from ₹848.48 crore in the quarter ended March 31, 2026, to ₹1,423.39 crore.
Advertising revenue rose around 2% sequentially to ₹282.51 crore, from ₹276.45 crore, while domestic subscription revenue increased around 3% to ₹485.46 crore from ₹472.47 crore.
EBITDA surged around 93% sequentially to ₹732.99 crore, compared with ₹379.51 crore in the preceding quarter. PAT increased around 180% sequentially to ₹611.97 crore, from ₹218.64 crore in the March quarter.
Interim dividend
The board of directors has declared an interim dividend of ₹5 per share, representing 100% of the ₹5 face value of each share.
Sun TV Network operates satellite television channels across four southern languages — Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam — and three northern languages — Bangla, Marathi and Hindi. It also operates FM radio stations across India and is engaged in movie production.
The company owns three cricket franchises — SunRisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League, SunRisers Eastern Cape in Cricket South Africa’s T20 League and SunRisers Leeds Limited in The Hundred, United Kingdom. It also owns the digital over-the-top (OTT) platform SunNXT.
Shares of Sun TV Network Ltd ended at ₹478.40, down by ₹4.95, or 1.02%, on the BSE.
