Under the revised benefits, mediclaim coverage has been increased up to ₹1.5 lakh, outpatient department (OPD) expenses of up to ₹10,000 are now covered, and group personal accident insurance has been expanded up to ₹10 lakh.
The coverage also includes support for hospitalisation, disability compensation, and related medical needs.
The company said wellness benefits will now extend to associates and up to three family members annually. These include virtual doctor consultations, limited free in-person OPD visits, and access to discounted diagnostics, pharmacy services, dental care, and eye care.
Amazon also said it is conducting nationwide health camps in partnership with a third-party insurer. The camps offer basic health screenings such as eye examinations, dental check-ups, BMI assessments, and general physician consultations across delivery stations in multiple cities.
Salim Memon, Director – Operations, Amazon India, said the expanded benefits are part of the company’s focus on associate safety and well-being, along with broader investments in its logistics network.
The initiatives are part of Amazon India’s stated investment of over ₹2,800 crore aimed at strengthening associate safety, health, and financial wellbeing.
Alongside insurance and wellness measures, the company said it continues to run other support programmes for delivery associates, including rest facilities at select locations, emergency ambulance services, road safety training, and education scholarships for their families.
