Bajaj Life launches new ULIP with focus on Nifty 200 value stocks

Bajaj Life Insurance has launched a new fund option, Bajaj Life Nifty 200 Value 30 Index Fund, under its unit-linked insurance plans (ULIPs).

The New Fund Offer (NFO) period will remain open from July 14 to July 27.

The fund will track the Nifty 200 Value 30 Index, which comprises 30 companies selected from the Nifty 200 universe based on value-oriented parameters. The strategy aims to provide investors exposure to companies that are available at relatively attractive valuations compared with their fundamentals.

The index follows a rule-based selection process using a composite value score based on four parameters — book value-to-price ratio, earnings-to-price ratio, sales-to-price ratio and dividend yield. The index is periodically rebalanced to reflect changes in the underlying companies and market conditions.

The fund will have exposure to a mix of large-cap and mid-cap companies from the broader Nifty 200 universe, with a focus on long-term capital appreciation through a value investing approach.

Srinivas Rao Ravuri, Chief Investment Officer, Bajaj Life Insurance, said the fund provides customers a transparent and rule-based approach to access a portfolio of value-oriented companies while combining investment exposure with the protection features of a ULIP.

Under ULIPs, policyholders can choose among different fund options linked to market performance. The investment risk in ULIP funds is borne by the policyholder, and returns depend on the performance of the underlying investments.
