Bank of Baroda Q2 update: Global business rises 17.5% YoY to ₹32.64 lakh crore


Bank of Baroda has reported year-on-year growth across its key business segments for the quarter ended September 2026, with both deposits and advances registering double-digit growth.

It reported a 17.45% year-on-year growth in its global business to ₹32.64 lakh crore as of September 30, 2026, according to the bank’s Q2 business update.

Global advances grew 18.27% YoY to ₹15.12 lakh crore, while global deposits increased 16.75% to ₹17.51 lakh crore during the same period.

In the domestic business, total deposits rose 17.01% YoY to ₹14.88 lakh crore as of September 30. Domestic advances grew 13.5% to ₹11.88 lakh crore.

Earlier in a separate development, on August 14, Bank informed that it has concluded the issuance of senior unsecured fixed-rate notes amounting to $700 million under its medium-term note (MTN) programme, according to an exchange filing.

The issuance comprises $400 million of notes with a three-year maturity and a coupon of 5.114% per annum, and $300 million of notes with a five-year maturity and a coupon of 5.318% per annum. The coupons are payable semi-annually.

The bonds will be issued through Bank of Baroda’s IFSC Banking Unit on August 20, 2026. The notes will be listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange, India INX and NSE-IX Exchange in GIFT City.

In another development, on Oct 1, the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) has formally appointed Bank of Baroda as a sponsor of a pension fund, marking the entry of the public sector lender into the pension fund business.

Bank of Baroda received the Certificate of Appointment as Sponsor of the Pension Fund under Section 27 of the PFRDA Act, 2013, on October 1, during the NPS Divas 2026 event. The bank becomes the second public sector bank to enter the pension fund business, according to the lender.

Bank of Baroda shares closed at ₹232 on October 1, up 0.63% in the session at NSE.
