Bank of India, Ujjivan SFB and Vedanta Power report strong Q2 business updates; Vedanta Aluminium posts record quarterly aluminium production

Business Update: Vedanta Power, Ujjivan SFB, Tata Motors JLR, Bank Of India and more

Tata Motors’ Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) reported a 24.5% year-on-year increase in wholesale volumes to 82,400 units in the second quarter. Retail sales, however, declined 7.5% YoY and 1.1% sequentially to 79,000 units.

Bank of India | The bank reported a 23.3% year-on-year increase in domestic deposits to ₹9 lakh crore in the second quarter. Gross domestic advances rose 17.7% YoY to ₹7.03 lakh crore, while total global business grew 21.07% to ₹18.92 lakh crore.

Ujjivan Small Finance Bank | Ujjivan Small Finance Bank reported a 33.1% YoY and 14.2% QoQ rise in total disbursements to ₹10,560 crore in Q2 FY27. Total deposits grew 29.2% YoY and 5.2% QoQ to ₹50,649 crore. The bank’s CASA ratio stood at 26%, down from 27.5% a year ago and 26.9% in the previous quarter.

Vedanta Power | The firm reported a 26% year-on-year increase in power sales to 5,593 million units in the second quarter, compared with 4,433 million units in the year-ago period.

Vedanta Aluminium Metal Limited | The firm announced its production numbers for the second quarter ended September 30, 2026, reporting its highest-ever quarterly aluminium production of 649 KT.
